Already announced by Apple: The seven features will soon be available on the iPhone
In the fall, Apple gave its devices a lot of new features. Don’t forget that they are no longer here. You can look forward to these new functions this year.
It’s a fixed date in Apple’s year: At the WWDC developer fair (you can find an impression of the location here), the company is announcing the major upcoming changes for its operating systems for iPhone, iPad, Mac and so on. And then delivers them to customers in the fall. This is the first time I’ve let summer featured features but are nowhere to be found. And should be expected accordingly in the near future.
The fact that not all of the new functions have appeared so far is not unusual at first. Although the operating systems announced at WWDC, such as iOS or iPadOS, are available almost immediately as test versions, initially for developers and later for users, they rarely already contain all the functions. So some people need longer than planned to implement it, others expect Apple to arrive a little earlier so that cooperation partners are informed and can prepare.
Carplay: I’m brand new to Car
In the case of Auto-System Carplay, in good faith, this is not the case. If the previous version reflects the iPhone on the car display in a later line, this should change with a major upgrade announced in the summer. The car manufacturers should be able to further customize the view in the next Carplay version. And sugar can pass the car control to the Apple system. Even the tachometer became part of the Apple ads in the announcement video.
However, that takes time. It shouldn’t be a coincidence that Apple hasn’t given a specific release date for the Carplay update. However, the group should not wait too long: the next WWDC is already expected at the beginning of June.
Credit to Apple
Apple is also dependent on partners for the second feature that has not yet been published. With Apple Pay Later, the group wants to allow purchases to be paid in several installments via its payment service, as is known from PayPal and Klarna, for example. No interest accrues.
The function was actually announced for autumn, but according to a report by “Bloomberg” the group seems to have encountered technical challenges. Unfortunately, they were not allowed to come so soon for German customers anyway: the new installment payment has so far only been announced for the USA.

Apple Savings Account
The second finance function is also only expected in the USA. The credit card Apple Card, which was previously only available there, should then allow its customers to use it as a savings account. A kind of checking account at Apple might seem a bit strange to us. However, the demanded 3.3 percent interest would certainly also find interested parties in this country.
Web push to iPhone
We probably don’t have to wait any longer for the other expected functions, they should be rolled out worldwide. For example, support for web push. Many websites now offer the opportunity to be informed about new articles or updates in certain sections. This has not worked on the iPhone and iPad so far. Later this year, Apple will also introduce web push for its smartphones.
The biggest advantage would be that you no longer have to install a separate app for each page you visit. iOS already allows you to place a website as an icon on the home screen, and these shortcuts could almost be replaced with web push.
More security in the chat
The chats on the smartphone are now among the most personal documents. And this is particularly the case for some professional groups such as lawyers, journalists or politicians. Apple has therefore announced a feature that should enable particularly vulnerable professional groups to ensure the identity of the interlocutor and to be able to exclude possible secret readers. If other, unverified devices take part in calls, a warning message should appear. The feature is announced for this year.
Classic streaming
The audience is wider with a special version on Apple Music. Because classical music often comes in multiple versions by different orchestras, it poses a challenge for song-based music streaming services. Apple therefore announced its own app specializing in classical music. This is the announcement for 2022 so far there is no trace of it.
New home
This function had already appeared: With iOS 16.2, Apple revised its Home Kit smart home substructure and promised better performance and greater reliability of the connection. But complaints quickly arose: users complain that the conversion, on the contrary, would have led to numerous problems. Apple pulled the update. Since then, smarthome owners have been waiting for the makeover to return. The first schedule: It should be “bald” so far.
